Oliver Wilson is a civil litigator who mainly practices in the areas of personal injury, commercial litigation and family law. He has represented clients before all levels of the Courts in British Columbia as well as before various administrative tribunals.

Oliver is not only experienced at representing his clients in Court, but he has also negotiated many out-of-court settlements. He has successfully represented clients at mediations and judicial settlement conferences.

Oliver spent two years working for the Office of the University Counsel at the University of British Columbia before graduating from law school in 2004. He then articled with a law firm in Burnaby with a general practice including a variety of both litigation and solicitor’s work. From 2005 to 2009 he practiced predominantly in the area of personal injury litigation, but also insurance litigation, administrative law and criminal law, as an associate with a firm in Coquitlam. Oliver joined Burns Fitzpatrick LLP as an associate in 2009 and became a partner in 2014.

  • In Stone v. Ellerman, 2007 BCSC 969, Oliver helped obtain one of the largest awards at trial to that point for a plaintiff who has suffered a soft tissue injury but had returned to work.
