On September 9th, Ryan LaPlante and Sara Pedlow will participate in Pro Bono Going Public 2016’s free legal advice-a-thon to raise awareness and funds for the provision of pro bono legal services in BC. All funds raised will go directly toward supporting the pro bono programs operated by Access Pro Bono.
At the legal advice-a-thon taking place in four different cities throughout BC, over 100 volunteer lawyers will work in one-hour shifts throughout the day to advise individual clients in an open-air setting. Clients will be low- and modest-income individuals, including homeless people who may otherwise have limited access to traditional free legal advice clinics.
